#SittieCatesBookContest: Why I Love to Read Books?

Hi everyone!

Ahhh. It has been a while since my last post here. Anyway, I am joining a giveaway that one of my online friend/sister is having.

I'm not really into books before because, I find it so boring. Little did I know that I will be reading and collecting them today.

Last September last year, I have been downloading and reading e-books but, I stopped it by mid of October because I don't feel reading e-books anymore. By November last year, I was asking few of my friends what are good books to read and Sittie Cates told me self-help books are good. So, I looked online and find a lot of interesting self-help books but still, I end up ordering three books; I Heart You, You Haunt Me by Lisa Schroeder, Roundabout by Rhiannon Lassiter and Prom by Laurie Halse Anderson.

Upgrading Smartphone

My Samsung Galaxy Mini S-5570
It has been a while since I got my Samsung Galaxy Mini S-5570 smartphone that I received as a gift from my employer's wife. I am a prepaid user of both rival networks here in the Philippines; Smart and Globe.

I've been watching smartphone reviews and unboxing videos in YouTube. I have thought of upgrading my smartphone. I have three phone crushes as of the moment; iPhone 4s, Samsung Galaxy Note and Samsung Galaxy S3 and S2 will do too. But I really want to stick with android phones right now as they are really amazing.

I am also planning to become a postpaid user, either in Globe or Smart. I just need to be wise and practical enough to choose which network I should choose, right?

In Globe Postpaid, I can get Samsung Galaxy Note for free under Plan 2499 which I get 7 freebies like, Free call & text to GLOBE/TM, Free call & text to OTHER NETWORKS, Free INTERNATIONAL Call & Text, Free MOBILE SURFING and Free My Super ONE.

3 Days Vacation to Nasipit

After a year of waiting, I was finally able to go home. I mean HOME; the place where I was created, grew up, made friends and stuffs.

It wasn't really planned. Me, my mom, siblings and cousins (who live with us) was forced to go home because, my grandma was really crying over the phone and saying: "My time is near. I'm getting old and dying and I haven't seen all of you for ages." That's why and I really missed my Lola so much so we went home!

From Bislig City going to Butuan City will take seven to eight hours travel by bus. The fare cost around PHP240 - PHP250.

So, we left Bislig City at 4:00 in the afternoon and reached Butuan at 11:00 in the evening.We still haven't had our dinner by then and we are all starving. I forced mom to go to Jollibee for us to have our dinner and since there's no Jollibee in Bislig, the kids were extremely happy.

Posed before getting our order.

Being in School

Others may find it really annoying and boring being in school during school days, but not me. I always find school amazing and fun. I love learning new things everyday there and being around with my friends, of course.

I even decided to become a teacher, before. But that dream changed when I find new interesting things that took my whole attention into it. Anyhow, I love being always in school minus the dancing and singing subject!

I never like Math but I miss answering the formulas.

My Cherished Friends

God must have known there would be times
We'd need a word of cheer,
Someone to praise a triumph
Or brush away a tear.

He must have known we'd need to share
The joy of "little things"
In order to appreciate
The happiness life brings.

I think He knew our troubled hearts
Would sometimes throb with pain,
At trials and misfortunes,
Or goals we can't attain.

He knew we'd need the comfort
Of an understanding heart
To give us strength and courage
To make a fresh, new start.

He knew we'd need companionship,
Unselfish... lasting... true,
And so God answered the heart's great need
With cherished friends... like you!

MT's First Year Existence in The Web

Last April 22nd was this blog's first year anniversary and it's very silly of me to forget that. I just remembered about it this morning. But, it is better late than never.

This blog has been really a part of my life compared to my other blogs. I've shared my silliest and most random thoughts here and the most amazing feeling is to let other people/blogger read it. So, thank you for being with me this far and looking forward to have you for more years of my blogging career! (naks! :p)

Many have happened to me since the start of this blog and changes has taken place and I embrace it with all of my heart.

My blog will always be young even if I get old! :)) I would laughing at myself when I get old and re-read all my posts here! ^^

Thank you everyone for being a part of my blog for its one year of existence. God bless you all! ♥ comments

Day 29 - A Picture That Can Always Make You Smile

These are my younger sisters. Aren't they so cute? Haha. This photo was taken 2 or 3 years ago. We are 5 girls (6 if my Mom is included) in the family and we have 2 boys (3 if Dad is included too). I'm the only one (of the girls) missing in that picture since I am the one taking it.

I miss my two sisters very much. The one in pink and the one in white making a peace sign. They're living in Butuan City with my Grandmother. I'm expecting to see them before May as I will be leaving for Cebu and before I reach Cebu, I need to be in Nasipit first because that's where the pier is located. Hahaha! What am I talking about her? Oh well. I just get carried away!

Hope everyone is having a great day! God bless you all. comments

That Kind of Friend

I'd like to be the sort of friend that
you have been to me;
I'd like to be the help that
you've been always glad to be;

I'd like to mean as much to you
each minute of the day
As you have meant, old friend of mine,
to me along the way.

I'd like to do the big things and
the splendid things for you,
To brush the gray from out your skies
and leave them only blue;

I'd like to say the kindly things that
I so oft have heard,
And feel that I could rouse your soul
the way that mine you've stirred.

I'd like to give you back the joy
that you have given me,
Yet that were wishing you a need
I hope will never be;

I'd like to make you feel as rich as I,
who travel on
Undaunted in the darkest hours with you to
lean upon.

I'm wishing at this time that I
could but repay
A portion of the gladness that
you've strewn along my way;

And could I have one wish this year,
this only would it be:
I'd like to be the sort of friend
that you have been to me.

Trying New Things

How's your Summer so far? Mine? Duh! Its just like an ordinary season. All I do is work and work and work. Still, thankful that I have work.

Anyway... I'm really not sure if I should post this one or what, but I'll post it anyway. I'm just trying to boost my self-confidence and I hope this one will/could help.

I'm on Youtube! Hahaha. I was just so curious how would it feel to blog in Youtube. In Youtube terms, its called video blogging, in short: vlog.

So, here's my very first vlog entry:

Day 28 - A picture of something you're afraid of

I should have finished this 30 Days of Reflection thingy but I became so busy and I forgot about this... and just remembered about it this afternoon, so, there are two more entries left for this stuff.

So yea, I'm afraid when the weather here became so windy and especially when it starts raining so hard. We're living near the sea, so you can imagine how windy it could get when there's typhoon/storm around. comments
