I've been really into books lately and most books that I purchased are all about self-helps and how to improve one's self. Yea! I'm really serious in improving myself... not only in emotional, physical aspects but also how to improve the way I interact with people and also to my future team.
So, ladies and gentlemen... I give you, Building Successful Teams. A book written by Bill Butterworth.
Bill Butterworth is a sought-after speaker in venues throughout North America. A highly regarded author, Bill has written books on topics ranging from sports to psychology and self-help issues; he's been a columnist, editor, and script writer. Bill lives with his wife, Kathi, in Newport Beack, California.
This book is about how to maximize your team and its effectiveness. We, of course want to look at the needs of our teammates feel, the barriers to teamwork, and the great traits of effective teams. With humor-laced storytelling, Bill Butterworth make the basics of teamwork easy to grasp and put to work.
This book is designed to be read in one short plane ride - or over a hot cup of coffee or two. It's a quick read, a fast study, a mental battery charge to jump-start our thinking. But the author did mentioned that we should be warned: even though it's small, it could change the way we view our team and teamwork forever... which is, by the way, is true. Every member of the team has a very important roles and each of them shouldn't feel disregarded.
There's no telling what you'll take away when you read on the fly.
I bought this book in National Book Store (online) and it cost Php 145.00 only.

self-help books come in handy when you rely on them but still, experience is the best teacher. :)
