Went to Malaysia

I was and still very thankful that I was given the chance to attend a computer/internet marketing/web designing training in Malaysia and it was all expense paid trip of my boss and his wife. Even though I only lasted there for two days, I am very happy because I met few nice and kind Malaysian people.

I rushed on my way home because my boss told me so. One main reason is that I have my promotion letter way back home and if I can't reach home by the allotted time, I'll be fired. Haha! My boss is scary sometimes.

I was actually the only Filipina in that training and mostly of my co-trainees are Thai and Malaysian nationals. I feel very proud, of course but the nervousness I was feeling is still there.

All trainees stayed in The Gardens Hotel & Residences and when I get there, I didn't go out. I just prayed all the entire time when I reached my room for the very first time. Then, one of the supervisors; the lady wearing blue top in the photo told us to have our dinner at the nearest KFC. That's the first time I went out from our hotel. Still feeling scared that I'd be lost. Hahaha! Then, after dinner, me and all the trainees went to Ri Yakitori to bond. That's when I knew some of them. They were so nice, kind and talkative.

I wasn't able to take much picture because I am shy to put my camera out. Yay! I feel so ignorant the whole trip! hehehe.

And in the next morning, we went out to have our coffee in The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and after that we went straight to New Horizons Mayasia - Computer, Certification, Soft Skills Training Centre in Penang, Malaysia. It is supposed to be a 3-hour-ride from Kuala Lumpur but since we have an awesome driver, he made it for only in an hour and 15 minutes. How cool is that? Good thing it wasn't so traffic that time. There, I met Mr. Calvin Leong; the Vice President of New Horizons Malaysia. He's very inspiring, nice and kind. After more than 7 hours of training there, we went back to Kuala Lumpur to rest and sleep for the night, of course.

By 10 o'clock in the evening, I received a call in Skype from my boss saying I better catch the next flight (which by the way is 1:00 am) because he received an email from my supervisor saying I'm overqualified for the training and I do deserve the promotion. Yay! That made me burst into tears actually. I was so happy.

The next thing I know, I reached home at exactly 11:30AM. The promotion letter contains blah, blah, blah and I am now the new Vice President of Operations in my boss' company in Thailand.

I never expected to be the vice president as young as I am now. Imagine? 18 years old as a Vice President. Who could have thought, right? But, I am really, really thankful to God that He provided me what He thinks is best for me.

You guys, just keep dreaming and reaching for it... Just don't forget to pray and asked for His guidance because He knows what's best for us! :)

I'll be flying to Thailand earlier next month or by September soon. I'm soo excited and I better be get used to wearing corporate dresses.

God bless us all! To God be the glory!!!!!!! ♥ comments
