I'm 20 and Happy!

Wow! Time sure flies in a blink of an eye. Today is Rizal Day here in The Philippines and I am also celebrating my 20th birthday. Thanks to everyone who called, texted and greeted me through social networking sites. Today, I thanked God for the amazing 20 years of my life. It was a bumpy road for me... but, I did enjoyed the adventure. I thanked God for making me strong enough to pass all the challenges I had for the past years.

Teenager no more!!! Time for some serious stuffs, right? :)

My birthday cake... Sweet! :)
I just find it so cool how everyone in our home calls me Ate (eldest sister) while my TFD family and other online buddies calls me Bunso (youngest).

You Left Me With No Choice, Young Man!

I am the eldest among my six younger siblings. We grew up together and I looked after them since I was still on the 4th or 5th grade. My mom and dad back then were making a living together. They always travel to all parts of Mindanao every month. So, that makes me the parent for all six of them. I act like a their mother and father at the same time.

I saw them grow with my own two eyes. I am not even used to not seeing them even just for a day. In fact, our youngest's (6 years old now) first word was mama and she thought I was her mom. I disciplined them by myself because mom and dad can't do that at that moment. I taught them everything I know, from their assignments, respecting people and even household chores.

My younger brother. The child after me.

Who is He?

I get it. I was dreaming. It was just a dream (or was it?). But heck, why I am so affected by this particular dream? Okay, you probably got curious or confuse of what I am talking about.

Photo from queeky.com

I dreamed that I am with a girl friend and we were walking in our college hallway. Then we went to the bulletin board and check who got to be part in the school's editorial. And then this man suddenly appeared, in a marine student uniform. I don't know him, that was the first time I saw him but what I don't understand is that he looks familiar.

My First Wireless Optical Mouse

Yay! I am so happy that today, I received this token of appreciation from Mr. Richard Mamuyac of AMPR Publicity and Communications. I thought it's just another mouse that I used to have and I told myself... "Sayang. I already bought a new mouse few days ago." But, when I actually opened it, it's WIRELESS and it's Genius! :)

I was excited to try it out since it's my first ever wireless optical mouse. It supports Windows 8/7/Vista/XP, MAC OS X 10.4 or later and it requires an available USB port in your computer or laptop.

As the car moves toward home, my thoughts don't seem to want to go there just yet.

I Will Always Remember

There is one memory
that floods my brain
every five minutes.

It reminds me
over
and over
and over again,
I'm the reason
that you
are gone.

Memories might keep you alive.

But they might
kill
me.

Pizza Cravings

I have been craving for Hawaiian Classic pizza for days now. I can't help but look at all the photos of what my brother had during his 15th birthday. He didn't have much as we are on a tight budget and I'm glad he understands that.

Comfortable Quilts for Cold Winters

There are many different styles of fabricwork, but one of the most timeless and beautiful is quilting. Quilting uses multiple pieces of fabric and stitches them together into a larger single piece. This creates fascinating patterns and can highlight a lot of little details in a single item in a way most things simply can't. There are many different quilted items available on Artworkspa.com you can browse for an idea of what quilting can do.

Useful Geophysical Instruments

A geophysical instrument at AGI is going to be very accurate as it helps you map out an image of the underground layers of soil and rock, but that does not mean that you are never going to get faulty readings. When you do, you have to be able to identify them very quickly so that you get the problem sorted out. The incorrect reading could be due to equipment that has been set up in the wrong manner, human error on your end, damage that the equipment sustained at some point, or even factory defects that were there when the equipment was brand new. The tips that follow can help you decide if a reading is faulty or not.

I'm sure, ladies are looking for dresses that cost less now. Especially, Christmas season is on it's way now. Guess what? I found an online shop where you can buy dresses for less! Yes, LESS!! Way too less that it may seem so unbelievable.

This long sleeves lace splicing boat neck sexy style dress costs only $9.49! Can you believe that? So awesome. If only I'm slimmer like that in the picture, I'd definitely purchase it!

Panic Buying Caused By Typhoon Yolanda

Typhoon Yolanda is all over the news and having maternal instincts (Mom trained me), I can't help but panicked. I don't want to be stuck in our house again without anything, just like what happened to us last year. So, I grabbed my mom to go to the market with me and start our unplanned grocery shopping.

To My 2 Amazing Grandfather Up There

It's that time of the month again where we reminisce our loved ones who passed away ahead of us. It's the time of the month where we usually visit their graves. I just can't believe that it has been five years since we lost my grandfather from the maternal side and it has been three years since my grandfather from the paternal side passed away.

Everything is just fresh in my mind. The laughter, tears, dreams and all the memories we shared. I grew up with my grandparents and that's why I am more close to them than my parents. I am my two grandpa's youngest daughter. They treat me like a precious angel and they give me the sweetest gifts ever even if I always cry and looking for my parent's attention when I was still younger.

This perfectly illustrates me and my lolos. (photo credits: flickriver.com)

Household Pests Exterminator

My family has recently moved in an apartment. At first, they thought everything is okay in the new place. The apartment that they moved in is located in a close village and the apartment itself is not that big, so it would be easier for them to clean the whole place.

My mom was relieved that finally, they have moved. She told me how tired and worried she is about the different pests appearing every day in the old apartment. She’s worried about the problem those pests can cause the family’s health. She has been bugging me about moving to a new and cleaner place.

Mom and I feel relieved that finally, they’re away from those disease-causing pests. Well, that’s what we thought. My mother just recently told me about the new problem that she have about the new apartment. She found out that there are rats roaming around every night. One night, while everyone is sleeping soundly, she caught a rat in my brother’s bed and bit him. My brother suffered almost a week of fever. My mom freaked out to the highest level. She swore that she won’t let that ever happen again.

Dresses For Different Occasions

It's obvious that my friends or family haven't seen me so much wearing a dress, but to be darn honest... I wanted to wear one.

When was the last time I wore a dress??? Wait... I'm gonna walk through memory lane a bit.
Oh yes! The last time I wore a dress was when I got invited in a party in Surigao and it was last year 2011. I'm the jeans-and-blouse kind of girl, actually. But, that has changed after that party. I feel like I'm a real lady when I wear a dress.

I'm glad that I found PersunDresses. They offer wide range of dress categories.

Anniversary is a Milestone of Marriage

Your wedding anniversary is a wonderful and important event. After all, marriage isn't easy. Whether you've been married one year or fifty years, celebrating your love and commitment to one another is incredibly important. Many couples choose to celebrate by going to dinner together, enjoying a special trip or vacation, or even having a party with their close friends and family members. How you choose to celebrate your anniversary is up to you; however, it's important to remember that you should get your partner a special present to remind him just how much you love him and appreciate him.

Ruined

You made me feel like I was flying,
Like no matter who said what, you will be there to pull me back into the clouds,
Like I was something special.

You were the first person to ever make me feel this way,
Then when I realized it was just all an illusion,
The fun ended and I hit the concrete with a cold, hard, awakening.

Once I get to travel full time, I'm thinking of starting a traveling blog. (Oh yeah!) There's something inside me saying, Go! Live that wanderlust dream of yours!!!

Bear with my ambitious peg, will you? :D

Be Visible. Be Safe

The clothes you wear can save your life. When you are more visible, you will be safer on the job site. Rather than wearing gray or brown clothes that let you blend into a work area on the road or out in a field, you are safer if you have clothing that makes you stand out from the background. Even if your employer provides you with high visibility vests with reflective markers, you can still make yourself even safer.

Find Your Way

Where in the world is Marie... Or in most cases, where in the world am I? As humans, we're built to find out where we are (hence the sundial), as well as learn how to get to where we want to go.

To be fair, very few have mastered Manila's notorious roads, and with the confusing road rules, it's easy to get disoriented, or worse, lost. While a GPS may be something a man stereotypically buys, there is merit in acquiring one for yourself - no need to ask that roadside stranger, call your boyfriend, or get frustrated with figuring out a map, a GPS device helps you find your bearings in the easiest way possible.

Abandon your landmark dependency with some assistants to help you find your way.

Different Fragrance Every Occasion

Perfume, cologne, and toilet water are each a kind of fragrance. Perfume (or as the French say, parfum) is the most intense. Because perfume can be so intense, a light touch is needed. But perfume can range from an everyday sweet scent to light floral notes to dramatic and sensual tones. The occasion will dictate the choice.

Useful Domains for Business

When you go into business for yourself, you become an entrepreneur. This is a special breed of human being. Entrepreneurs are self-starters and go-getters. They don't wait for others to show them the way. They blaze their own path, and dare others to follow. They are truly the ones who lead by example and inspire the rest of us to follow, or to imitate them as best as we can.

Speaking of imitators, it's an old axiom that "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery". They also claim that no idea is truly original, and that all of the great innovations that shaped the history of mankind have been achieved by people who were "standing on the shoulders of giants".

There are many reasons why the simple yet fashionable slip-on shoe is growing in popularity with women. One reason is that a stylish slip-on shoe can be worn on many occasions. For example, a woman can wear a slip-on leather shoe to work with a pair of slacks and a blazer. The leather exterior of the shoe makes it appropriate for a professional environment while its construction offers a woman a high level of comfort. Slip-on shoes can also be worn on casual Fridays, on outings with friends or even around the house. Find out some other reasons why slip-on shoes are becoming the go-to favorites of many women.

Protect Your Gun Collection

Do you have a gun collection of which you are rather proud? Is buying nice guns, even if you do not use them for hunting, something of a hobby of yours? If so, your collection is probably worth quite a bit of money. A single gun could cost thousands of dollars on its own; in fact, some safari rifles cost as much as a new car. Even if you only have typical rifles and shotguns, though, you are probably going to pay at least $1,000 each.

How Can a Wig Make a Difference in Men

If you are going to try to portray two different characters in a play, you have a lot of challenges ahead of you. You are going to have a harder workload than anyone else on the set. This can make the experience taxing and exhausting, but pulling it off successfully could be one of the highlights of your career as an actor.

Sell Online with Confidence

If you choose to Sell online with 1ShoppingCart, you will have a solid tool to help you battle one of the biggest challenges for online merchants: shopping cart abandonment. Sometimes a customer deserts a shopping cart or deletes the items in the cart because the customer did not have an intention to buy at the time he filled the cart. Some fill the cart simply to estimate postage or to bookmark items they want to come back to later. These are desertions that probably cannot be avoided.

Day 10 - Discuss your first love and first kiss

Ahhh! This is probably one of the most awkward post I have here. Yay! Talking about my first love and first kiss? Oh well, let's just get this started.

I've had my first serious relationship when I was fifteen years old. He was eighteen. Those were the days where Facebook doesn't exist and Friendster is the talk of the town. When he courted me, I must admit I don't have any special feelings for him aside from being a friend but as the days pass by, I fell in love with him. He is God-fearing, a singer in their church, respectful and a real gentleman.

Well, not until the boss has moved to Thailand which means Philippines is just one hour ahead. The working hours has changed. I am now working during the day and supposed to be sleeping at night. Well, too bad my sleeping isn't back to normal.
