How Can a Wig Make a Difference in Men

If you are going to try to portray two different characters in a play, you have a lot of challenges ahead of you. You are going to have a harder workload than anyone else on the set. You will have twice as many lines to memorize and you will be on stage twice as often. This can make the experience taxing and exhausting, but pulling it off successfully could be one of the highlights of your career as an actor.

Photo not mine.

The main thing to remember is to make the two characters distinctly different. If they seem like the same person, the audience will be confused and taken out of the story. You could give a performance that is technically good, but it will still leave something to be desired. You need to latch onto little traits that set the characters apart, such as the way that they walk or the way that they interact with others. Take some time getting used to two sets of mannerisms so that you can change in and out of character in a hurry.

You should also use costumes that change your appearance. If these are good enough, the audience may not notice that you are playing both parts until they look at the program. This should always be your goal. You want them to be surprised and thrilled when they realize, at the end, that they did not see that you were on stage for each part. You can find mens wigs at AdventHair.com that will help. comments

I personally love wigs since i don't have that gorgeous hair since high school days. Even today whenever I am in malls that sells wigs, I am always eager to fit some and took pictures of myself. This is also my way of not touching my hair( since its hard to maintain) but be stylish.

Such great tips. Hubby always tells me that he is glad that he is not experiencing baldness AT his age..

Most bald men here use toupee instead of a wig. But a wig remains the absolute cover-up for the hair if you want to look different.

I know a lot of men who don't have hair but I have seen no one yet who wears wig. It makes me wonder, how would a wig make a difference in a man's looks? Sanay kasi akong makakita ng women wearing it, eh! :D

I always thought wigs are for the oldies and the ones undergoing chemo. But these days wigs are beginning to be part of fashion. The only downside to this is our humid weather. Wearing wigs in Manila means getting your head all sweaty for the most part.

My husband is now worried of his hair loss. But his applying hair fall treatment. I guess it's on their bloodline, the baldness is now showing on his hair. I'm considering this wig for my husband.

I am not a fond of wig esp for a man. I would rather want to see skin head than a fake hair :)

I can't imagine my husband wearing one of those. He is so conscious of his hair. But I know someone who definitely need this one.
