According to Wikipedia, Karawasan is a collective name given to the member of the crab family found to be great in the salty and freshwater of
Bislig City. The lavishness of such local local marine resources has, in fact, made Bislig City known to other places in the country. Every 18th of September, Bislig City celebrates its cityhood and as part of the Charter Day Celebration, various schools presents their ethnic dance because Karawasan is a festival of ethnic dances depicting the movement of crabs.
We've been living here in Bislig City for almost 4 years now but it is my first time to witness this Karawasan Festival ever. It is also because my younger brother (next to me) has joined this event for their school. I was really surprised that the Bislig City Heritage Park is so crowded that day, unlike the usual days you can only see one or two people there.

But in all fairness, its a lot of fun. I actually see many tourist there which is (I guess) once in a blue moon happens. My younger brother's school just got the 4th place and they take home the Best Storyline Award. Not bad after all! :)
For all the classmates/schoolmates of my brother; please forgive me for the late uploads of the photos. Its just I forgot to transfer them as early as I could.
