I Will Always Remember

There is one memory
that floods my brain
every five minutes.

It reminds me
over
and over
and over again,
I'm the reason
that you
are gone.

Memories might keep you alive.

But they might
kill
me.

i am puzzled with this poem, is there something that haunts you?

The poem said it right, there are indeed good memories and bad memories, we can't help sometimes to think and remember the bad once, but it might be too hard to forget however if we do something to occupy our mind we might not even remember those.

Forever doesn't exist really, I've realized that long ago but i still keep using the word anyway... I am a hopeless romantic!

I sense pain, anguish. And I'm sad just from reading your poem. Hope time will heal your wound. Think happy thoughts. :-)

Hey! Don’t let the memories kill you. Nothing’s permanent in this world than change and learning. Smile na! ^_^

Naku! Mukhang may pinagdadaanan eto!

Chillax lang, Marie! One day, killing won't cross your mind when you write a poem but only loving and giving :-)

Cheers!

Sometimes, writing it out makes us feel relieved. I hope that is what you felt after letting your emotions out through those sharp words. Forgiveness is the key, sis. Forgive yourself first. It will lighten the load....

This is sad. Not assuming that this poem is based on experience, but if it is, I hope writing it out made you feel better. :)

It's a sorrowful poem.

It feels like you're waiting for someone in vain.

Don't be sad sis, it's Christmas. "Sabi nga ng daddy ko, wag na daw isipin kung hindi ka rin naman daw iniisip. "

Ouch. Memories could be painful but they were what made us smile before they became that - memories...
