Be Visible. Be Safe

The clothes you wear can save your life. When you are more visible, you will be safer on the job site. Rather than wearing gray or brown clothes that let you blend into a work area on the road or out in a field, you are safer if you have clothing that makes you stand out from the background. Even if your employer provides you with high visibility vests with reflective markers, you can still make yourself even safer.

With high visibility clothing, you can rest assured that your coworkers and people moving past the worksite can see you. Short sleeve and long sleeve shirts help define your arms and ensure that you are easily seen. Even if the weather conditions are poor, you will still be visible to heavy machinery operators, drivers and your fellow workers on the ground.

The most visible colors are bright yellow, orange and safety green. These shades do not blend in with backgrounds of gray skies, dirt fields or black roadways. You can even bump up the safety factor further by choosing clothing with reflective tape sewn in. This makes you more visible at night and in poor weather conditions.

Even if your company provides you with vests, it’s still wise to wear high visibility shirts beneath the vest. You will enjoy greater protection even if you are on break and decide to slip out of the vest for a little while. It also clearly defines your extremities to effectively reduce your chances of being involved in an accident.

Yup, those working clothes cannot be missed as they are bright and really good for visibility purposes.

I agree, it is very important to be pre cautious if you're in this kind of job.

Protective clothing is amust if you are confined to a hazardouz area. I dare not wear an orange-colored one. Why? Since we live near NBP, baka makapagkamal;an akong takas na preso if I wear one. Orange kasi ang uniform ng inmates doon, lalo na sa maximum security.

Indeed, there is a reason why road or construction workers have to wear such colorful uniforms. It is for extra visibility and safety.

Wearing bright colors during work can greatly help us since we can be easily seen by our co-workers. With bright colors worn, it's easier for us to see them. :D

This is a great post for companies who are issuing uniforms for their workers which might not have realized the importance of wearing an invisible clothing in the workplace.

Bikers should wear this. Here in FL, the law enables bicycle bikers to use the regular road. I have to slow down whenever I see them nearby,

This is so true, that's why companies have their own uniforms for their workers to ensure safety, the brighter it is the better i believe.

Safety gears and clothing like this is a must specially in construction works. Visible and flashing colors, yeah, are the highly recommended.

Wearing safety gears and clothing are very vital especially when working in dangerous areas like mining and construction.

Accidents are avoided when extra precautions are carried out.

Safety must always come from the worker even if there are many ways of protection and safety mechanisms implemented by the management :)
